The spoiled daughter of a millionaire decided to humiliate a maid in front of her friends and deliberately pushed her into the pool, but the wealthy heiress could never have imagined how her cruel act would end… 
That day, the only daughter of a famous oligarch was celebrating her birthday. To mark the occasion, she threw a luxurious party on the enormous rooftop terrace of the family mansion.
From early morning, guests began arriving. Expensive cars pulled up one after another, live music filled the air, waiters served champagne and appetizers, and the birthday girl’s friends gathered around the pool.
The hostess of the party felt like the queen of the evening. She was used to having everyone around her fulfill her wishes and never tell her no. Many people knew about her difficult personality and tried not to argue with her.
Standing by the pool with her best friend, she lazily looked over the guests.
“This is getting boring,” she said with dissatisfaction.
Her friend smirked.
“Yeah. Maybe you should do something in your usual style. Let’s have some fun.”
Both of them knew exactly what those words meant.
“Her usual style” meant finding someone weaker, humiliating them, making them look ridiculous, and entertaining everyone else with it.
At that very moment, a young maid walked past them carrying a tray of champagne glasses.
The girl had only recently started working in the house. She tried to perform her duties as well as possible and avoid drawing attention to herself.
“Hey, you! What’s your name again?” the birthday girl called out.
The maid stopped.
“Eleonora, ma’am.”
“Eleonora, come swim with us.”
The girl immediately turned pale.
“I’m sorry, ma’am. I’m working right now. And besides… I can’t swim, and I’m very afraid of water.”
The birthday girl’s friend laughed quietly.
“Did you hear that? She’s afraid of water.”
But Eleonora was completely serious.
“It’s true, ma’am. I could drown.”
“Oh, stop making things up. It’s my birthday today. Give me a gift.”
“Please, forgive me…”
“It’s not even that deep. Come on.”
Before the maid could say another word, the wealthy heiress suddenly shoved her with both hands.
Eleonora lost her balance and fell into the pool along with the tray. Water splashed in every direction.
“And you said you were afraid!” the birthday girl laughed.
A few guests immediately started laughing as well.
Someone pulled out a phone. Someone else applauded. To some people, the whole thing looked like a funny joke.
But a few seconds passed. Then a few more.
Eleonora never came back up.
The smiles slowly began to disappear from the guests’ faces.
“Why isn’t she surfacing?” someone asked quietly.
The laughter stopped completely.
Now nobody was joking anymore. Everyone stared at the water with growing concern.
The birthday girl, however, remained standing where she was.
She still didn’t understand how serious the situation was.
“She’ll come up in a second,” the girl said dismissively.
But the maid was still nowhere to be seen. And at that very moment, something happened that no one expected.

The birthday girl’s father stepped onto the terrace accompanied by a security guard.
The billionaire immediately noticed the panic among the guests.
“What happened?” he asked sharply.
Several people began explaining the situation at once. The man looked toward the pool and instantly understood everything.
Without hesitating for a second, he took off his jacket and jumped into the water. Moments later, he managed to find the girl and bring her to the surface.
When Eleonora was pulled from the pool, she was terrified to tears and struggling to breathe. Fortunately, she had been rescued in time.
A doctor who happened to be among the guests quickly examined her and announced that her life was not in danger.
After that, the father slowly turned toward his daughter.
The terrace was so silent that the only sound was the gentle splashing of water.
“Do you realize that you could have killed someone?” he asked.
For the first time all evening, the girl had no answer.
“I was just joking…”
“That is not a joke.”
His voice was calm, but somehow that made it even more frightening.
“You grew up surrounded by luxury and decided that you could humiliate other people. But remember one thing. The people who work for us are human beings just like we are. Their lives are worth no less than yours.”
None of the guests dared even to move.
“Until you learn to respect others, you deserve neither money nor privileges.”
After those words, the billionaire announced his decision in front of everyone.
He cut off his daughter’s access to her bank accounts, luxury cars, and all the credit cards she used. Moreover, he declared that she would no longer live at his expense and would have to learn how to earn her own money.
For the spoiled heiress, it was a genuine shock.
