Allen, a registered guest at the hotel, opened fire, striking one Secret Service agent in the chest. The agent sustained non-life-threatening injuries thanks to a bulletproof vest.
Secret Service agents and law enforcement quickly subdued Allen, tackling him to the ground. He was taken into custody without further injury to attendees. Interim D.C.
