During a Sunday sermon, a pastor decided to ask the men in the congregation a rather unusual question.
He looked around the church and announced:
“If you know your wife is controlling you, move to the left.”
Almost immediately, the men began moving.
One by one, nearly every man in the church stepped to the left, leaving just one man standing in his original position.
The pastor noticed the man and was pleasantly surprised.
He thought to himself that perhaps there was finally a strong and independent husband in the congregation.
Curious, the pastor walked over to him and asked:
“How come your wife can’t control you?”
The man smiled and calmly replied:
“She told me not to move.” 😂
The pastor reportedly had no comeback.
Sometimes, it only takes one sentence to completely change the meaning of a situation.
The joke quickly became a relatable moment for married couples, with many people laughing because they recognized the familiar idea of a husband trying to follow his wife’s instructions—even when nobody else knows about them.
😂 The Lesson?
The story may be just a joke, but it captures a classic type of marriage humor: sometimes the person who appears to be the most independent may simply be following instructions from home.
And apparently, this husband knew better than everyone else.
Would you have moved to the left? 😂
